GhazzyTV's Poison Animate Weapon Necromancer PoB, Passive Skill Tree & Gem Links (PoE Necropolis)
Important PoB Notes
All my guides use Path of Building. We have a simple guide for you that shows how to import my build into Path of Building, you can find the guide here
PoB is sadly not accurately calculating the damage dealt by the weapons for a variety of reasons, so keep that in mind.
PoB, Passive Skill Tree & Gem Links
All my guides use Path of Building. We have a simple guide for you that shows how to import my build into Path of Building, you can find the guide here
The PoB for this build covers the details of LvLing and end-game setup for the low budget: https://pobb.in/Z8SbpRJUGOig
For medium budget you’ll use this PoB: https://pobb.in/gaHxRAwdFBGk keep in mind that this PoB has a different configuration set in the custom modifier box that reflects the higher budget version of the Animate Guardian
The high budget version is VERY expensive and looks like this: https://pobb.in/kHWKBy5uYIxJ Similar to the medium budget PoB this one includes more advanced tweaking in the configuration to present the actual performance of the build.
You can find more information about this, as well as about the gem links for the build, on our dedicated page.
Leveling Progression
Depending on if you’re playing Hardcore or Softcore, you will have to adjust your route based on the quality of gear you find. For example, if you have lots of Life and Resistance from drops you get during the Acts, you can focus on taking the damage-providing nodes over the defensive ones and vice versa. The links below are trees that should fit in almost any situation regardless of drop RNG. Also keep in mind that the finished tree provided below is for the low budget version only:
- Leveling skill tree, LvL 9:
- Leveling skill tree, LvL 19: points
- Leveling skill tree, LvL 26: points
- Leveling skill tree, LvL 38: points
- Leveling skill tree, LvL 50: points
- Leveling skill tree, LvL 56: points
- Leveling skill tree, LvL 64: points
- Leveling skill tree, LvL 72: points
- Leveling skill tree, LvL 80: points
- Finished skill tree before Poison
- Finished skill tree with Poison
Amulet Anointment
Testudo is the main notable you’d want to oil on your amulet as it helps get you a higher block chance, this will require the following oils: 1x Clear Oil, 1x Sepia Oil and 1x Black Oil.
End Game Gem Links
6-Link Ranged Animate Weapon
Below you’ll find detailed description of both non-poison low budget gem links as well as the poison oriented end game gem links. Do keep in mind that the poison variant is superior but is strongly recommended to have Ghastly Eye Jewel with the modifier “+#% chance for minions to poison on hit” for it to work even better. You don’t need 100% to transition to that version so at least 1 or 2 of those jewels would be enough to get started with that version which is reflected in the PoB links as well. Later you absolutely want to make sure you get 100% for optimal performance.
Before Poison:- Animate Weapon
- Chance to Poison Support
- Minion Damage Support
- Withering Touch Support
- Vicious Projectiles Support
- Hypothermia Support
- Animate Weapon
- Chance to Poison Support
- Minion Damage Support
- Withering Touch Support
- Pierce Support
- Vicious Projectiles Support
The above links are the desired set-up for single target boss fights. When clearing maps you’ll want to replace Vicious Projectiles with Greater Multiple Projectiles Support. This will significantly boost your general clear speed
For Higher budgets when you have a white socket, this changes a bit. At that point we can swap between supports despite colours not matching up. As a result we would then run the following links for single target:
- Unbound Ailments Support – Swap for Pierce Support on clear
- Predator Support – swap for Greater Multiple Projectiles Support on clear
1-Socket Utility
- Bladefall (Keep this at lvl 1 to lower the mana cost)
1-Socket Utility
1-Socket Utility
1-Socket Utility
1-Socket Mobility
1-Link Mobility
3-Link Utility Minions
1-Socket Curse
Before Poison: Poison:1-Socket Guard Skill
1-Socket Animate Guardian
Optimally you’ll want to place this in a Unset Ring as it can roll a modifier that gives increased levels of socketed gems to increase the Animate Guardians survival.
For the spectres and Animate Guardian, I have a separate page you can find here
2-Link Golem
Auras
The auras both non poison and poison variant will be using do not need to be linked and goes as follows:
After this we are using a Divine Blessing aura which will cost a crazy amount of mana which we turn in to costing Energy Shield instead via the Keystone Eldritch Battery in our skill-tree:
The last aura depends on what variant of the build you’re currently playing!
Before Poison:- Summon Skitterbots This is used to guaranteed extra damage from our Hypothermia support gem
