Path of Building – Passive Skill Tree

You can find an optimized Path of Building here. Every build I release will use the community fork of Path of Building, which is maintained and updated in a much more regular fashion than the original one. You can find PoB’s Fork, by LocalIdentity, here.

Awakened Gems

A lot of gems nowadays in Path of Exile have Awakened versions. These version will generally be a lot more powerful than the widely available Regular versions. Therefore the should be purchased whenever you can afford them. When the gems listed down here mention Awakened Gems, you are supposed to use their regular versions until you can afford the upgrade.

For most people, leveling these Gems up takes way too much time so you’re generally offered two choices.

• You can just buy a leveled version.
• You can buy the Wild Brambleback beasts and use the Menagerie craft to upgrade Increase the level of non-Corrupted Awakened Gem by 1.

Gem Setups

Vaal Arc – Main Link (6-Link)

1. Vaal Arc (level 21 ideally)
2. Inspiration Support
3. Power Charge On Critical Support
4. Awakened Added Lightning Damage Support
5. Increased Critical Damage Support
6. Increased Critical Strikes Support

Aura Setup

1. Wrath
2. Enlighten Support
3. Grace
4. Determination

Edit : Before getting your Replica Dragonfang & an Enlighten, you can run Herald of Thunder instead of Wrath if you feel comfortable dropping the damage. This should be a relative big priority though.

Movement Speed & Utility

You’re using Flame Dash to get over ledges. Linking this to Arcane Surge Support permanently gets you the buff. Since you have the sockets here, you’re going to socket a Faster Casting Support as well.

1. Flame Dash
2. Arcane Surge Support (Keep this low level, depending on your Flame Dash level)
3. Faster Casting Support

Single Target help

Using Vaal Storm Call on bosses will provide you with some extra damage when very much necessary.

1. Vaal Storm Call
2. Less Duration Support
3. Awakened Added Lightning Damage Support
4. Awakened Lightning Penetration Support

DPS boost

Wave of Conviction is to be used against tricky, durable enemies. It applies your curse & exposure.

1. Wave of Conviction
2. Hextouch Support
3. Conductivity

Defenses & Utility

1. Clarity (Level 5 – You’ll struggle if you level it higher)
2. Molten Shell

Optionally, if you don’t mind casting it very often, you can run a Chaos Golem for Defence or a Flame Golem for offense.

_Note: You have spare sockets in this build and a lot of cast speed. You could run something like Lightning Warp, Faster Casting, Less Duration, Swift Affliction if you prefer Lightning Warp over Flame Dash. Usually this is impossible because you wouldn’t have the sockets to do so. Alternatively, you could be running a 4-Link Orb of Storms to drop on bosses to boost your damage.
