Please use PoB in build guides

Overall its a much easier system rather than the online planner version, and not to mention, I’m currently doing a quick playthrough in Standard right now to test a build for a league starter and the Guide’s PoE planner is still using the 3.7 tree while 3.9 is just a few days away at the time of writing this.

Plus with PoB its much easier to incorporate multiple leveling trees so people know which order to take certain nodes if its not obvious. And as well, its easy to show off general gear rolls for each slot

I second this. PoB is standard for the majority of experienced players. Don’t make things less friendly for your users just to get a few more clicks for ad revenue.

I can assure you that we aren’t shunning PoB for the benefit of clicks or ad revenue. We’ve gotten so many requests to incorporate PoB over the year and a half since we started the site, that I would very happily incorporate PoB for the benefit of everyone who wants it, believe me.

The reason we aren’t doing it is because of the high amount of extra time it would take updating guides in PoB, alongside the guide content we have already.

And while PoB is great for experienced players (I’d hardly call myself truly experienced and I still use it and appreciate it), I just don’t think it’s a good format at all to convey a build to someone who is new to the game (between 0-3 leagues played). So, PoB is never going to just replace the guides we have.

Again, I thank you for your interest in this feature, and I’ll have a renewed talk to the writers to see if there’s anything we can do.
